6 DIY Ways to Whiten Your Teeth and Get a Movie-Star Smile

Having a good smile is always a plus, but smiling and flashing those little white friends is often happening only after you see your dentist. Depending on what you eat and drink, your teeth might no longer be as white as they were and we all want that picture perfect smile so here are 6 DIY options in case your dentist is not available for a visit.

1.Add water to hydrogen peroxide and gargle. Add a few drops to baking soda and use as an alternative to your toothpaste. These two should not be used for more than 5 days though as it can harm you, given their polishing capacities. You can repeat the procedure as you wish after 3-6 months.

2.Strawberries are not just for eating. Yes, they can clean the stains on your teeth because it contains an acid called malic, which can dissolve evident stains like coffee, red wine and tea on your teeth. Crush a couple of them, and add a teaspoon of the juice in baking soda and brush your teeth using a childrens toothbrush to make sure you reach the corners. Again, you cant use this everyday unless you want your teeth to be more susceptible to stains and make them weaker.

3.After brushing and flossing, polish your teeth with the inside of a banana peel and repeat before you go to bed for an approximate of 2 minutes, every time,. This part of the fruit is loaded with potassium, magnesium, manganese, and other minerals that can whiten your teeth.

4.Mix apple cider vinegar with water on a 3:1 ratio of measurement, blend it with your toothpaste and brush your teeth on a typical basis. This component can boost your pastes whitening ability.

5.Coconut oil is not just for cooking, you can make a paste out of it. When it combines with the human saliva, it becomes a whitening element. Of course you wouldnt want to just rinse your mouth with the oil, so heres an advice from the expert, Wayne Perry. Heat the coconut oil until it liquefies, pour in 2 teaspoons of baking soda and add 5-10 drops of spearmint essential oil to add zest. Rinse like a normal mouthwash.

6.Charcoal paste. Yes. You read it right. Ever wondered why theres a charcoal toothbrush thats starting to make a name in the market? Activated charcoal can detoxify, and using them on your teeth will serve as a preventive measure because it traps the bacteria even before it tarnishes your teeth. Add it to water and apply to your teeth. Let it sit for 2 minutes, and rinse with water until its all washed up.
