While I’m not usually a big fan of pie, I am a big fan of anything and everything chocolate. I also like cookies! So when I came across this Chocolate Chip Pie recipe, I was a little excited. You can purchase these at the supermarket instead of slaving away in the kitchen. All you need is a bottom crust, so purchasing a pre-made one is the quickest, easiest solution. The other ingredients are things many of us will likely find in our fridge or pantry: eggs, flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, butter, chocolate chips and chopped pecans (if you don’t like pecans, you can definitely skip them – but they do add a nice flavor and a bit of texture to this chocolate chip pie recipe).
In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs until they’re foamy, then add flour, your sugars, and butter. Next, add your chocolate chips and nuts. The mixture should be thick. Spoon this into your pie crust. Bake your pie for 55 to 60 minutes (or until a knife inserted halfway between the edge and center comes out clean).
