The name of this recipe is the first clue that it will be amazing, I mean chocolate by itself is all you need, but layered in a dessert lasagna, oh my. This chocolate lasagna begins with a crust made of crushed Oreos mixed with a little butter, you will want to use regular Oreos rather than the Double Stuff variety and you'll need the whole package (it's O.K. if you snack on one or two before crushing them). You will then press the cookie and butter mixture into a 9 by 13 inch baking pan, and you can begin working on the chocolaty layers. The first layer is a white layer which is made of softened cream cheese that is whipped until fluffy with sugar, milk and Cool Whip, yum already. The chocolate layer of the lasagna recipe is just chocolate instant boxed pudding evenly spread across the cream cheese layer. Chocolate is made from cocoa beans, the dried and partially fermented seeds of the cacao tree, a small evergreen tree native to the deep tropical region of the Americas. Much of the chocolate consumed today is in the form of sweet chocolate, which is a combination of cocoa solids, cocoa butter or other fat, and sugar. Milk chocolate is sweet chocolate that additionally contains milk powder or condensed milk. White chocolate contains cocoa butter, sugar, and milk, but no cocoa solids. It is best to store chocolate away from other foods, as it known to absorb different aromas. Typically chocolates are packed or wrapped, and placed in proper storage with the correct humidity and temperature. Chocolate is also frequently stored in a dark place or protected from light by wrapping paper.
