You will go to chocolate peanut butter heaven with this one... So this is a MUST try if you are into the whole chocolate peanut combination. And if you are a lover of the nutty chocolatey combo, you are definitely not alone. Actually, quite a lot of people in the world love chocolate and peanut butter as a dessert treat.
People freaking love chocolate with peanut butter, and I’m no exception. Seven out of ten of the most popular chocolate bars are made with either peanuts or peanut butter, and the “peanut butter cup” has been a tradition since at least the 1920s. Since then, no combination of foodstuffs has been able to top that mixture. I mean, chicken, bacon and ranch came close back in 2003, but in the end it just didn’t stand the test of time. This was perhaps due to the fact that it was not amenable to cupping. Although if a chicken, bacon and ranch cup actually existed, I would eat it. Somebody please invent that. There is actually a chocolate peanut butter day. I had no idea that such a day even existed. But knowing that there are so many people who absolutely love the combination of peanut butter and chocolate, it really doesn't surprise me honestly!
But I digress. What the good people at Back for Seconds did with this here banana bread is truly amazing. It’s a new take on an old classic—just add peanut butter and coca powder to your normal banana bread batter and you’re on your way to flavour country, population: this loaf. For the topping, you warm up some peanut butter, put it in a plastic bag with the corner snipped off, then drizzle it on with a smattering of chocolate chips. Who doesn’t love the plastic-bag-with-the-corner-snipped-off method? It makes you feel like a master dessert chef.
Match it up with a tall, cold glass of milk. Or a hot coffee. Or if you’re really feeling sassy try pairing it with a chocolate milk or hot chocolate, or pouring the rest of the softened peanut butter into a mug and drinking that. Okay, you probably shouldn’t try that last one, but you’ll forgive me for getting a bit carried away. I really am passionate about this recipe, and truly impressed by the array of awesome dessert ideas available on Back for Seconds. Click on the link below to Back for Seconds and try this one out, it seems literally impossible that this wouldn’t be drop-dead-delicious.
