Fried Pickles

Whenever I crave a snack, it is very often pickles. These little morsels of salty, crunchy and juicy goodness are one of the most favourite snacks for many people. We even love them when pregnant! So imagine that delicious flavour in your mouth, and now imagine a crunchy exterior like a batter fish bite. Mmm...so delicious and very easy to make. This actually makes a great treat for occasions like Superbowl! Below are the ingredients that you might be interested in jotting down.

Fried Pickles Ingredients:

- Dill pickle chips

- 3/4 to 1 cup of beer

- 2 egg yolks

- salt and pepper

- 1.5 cups of all purpose flour

- Oil for deep frying

Procedure:

In a medium size bowl, mix the egg yolks and the 3/4 cup of beer all together. Add the salt as well as pepper too. Mix in the flour in order to form a batter. If the batter is too thick, add the remaining beer in order to thin the batter. Next, dip pickles one at a time using tongs into the batter and place it into the heated oil.

In a large skillet, pour the oil slowly so it is 1.5 inches deep up the sides of the pan. Using your deep fry thermometer, heat the oil to about 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Fry the pickles for about 2 minutes, flipping the pickle using a pair of tongs after about 1 minute and always remember not to burn yourself. Exert extra care when doing the frying stuffs!

When the pickles reached a golden colour on both sides, use the tongs to remove the pickles and place them onto a plate lined with paper towels. Call out your friends, classmates, other colleagues and serve it with ranch dressing or your own home-made dressing recipe.
