This No-Bake Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bars recipe is made up of a rich layer of melted chocolate and peanut butter on top of a thick chocolate chip cookie dough layer. The bars are an egg-less dessert and no baking required. The ingredients you will need for this no bake recipe include softened unsalted butter, light brown sugar, vanilla extract, all purpose flour, sweetened condensed milk, mini chocolate chips, creamy peanut butter, and milk chocolate chips.
In a large mixing bowl, mix the butter and the brown sugar together until fluffy. Then add the vanilla and beat together until combined. Then set the mixer to low and alternate between adding the flour and the sweetened milk until combined. Then gently fold in the chocolate chips. Then press the cookie dough into the bottom of an 8 by 8-inch pan that has been lined with some parchment paper. Cover your bars with some plastic wrap and refrigerate for about three hours or overnight until firm. To make the topping recipe, start by combining the peanut butter and some chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl. Stirring every 30 seconds until the mixture is smooth. Pour and spread the mixture overtop of the chilled dough and chill for at least an hour until firm. Then let sit out for about 5 to 10 minutes to soften before cutting into.
