The Best Biscuits and Gravy, Ever
Don’t you just love biscuits and a milk gravy! I think for many folks it is one of the most favorite meals. This recipe has you make the gravy yourself rather than using a packaged version. You can use any type of breakfast sausage that you and the family like. The recipes just requires, some flour, milk salt and pepper. These are ingredients that most people have in their pantries so you don’t need to worry about having fancy ingredients to make it. Because you are not buying it as a mix, it is also really cost effective. Of course homemade biscuits would really make it fantastic and we are giving you the recipe for that as well, but many people find they like the already prepared biscuits that you just take from the cooler isle at the grocery store, pop open, put into the oven and bake.
1 pound Breakfast Sausage
1/3 cup flour
4 cups whole milk
1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt
2 teaspoons black pepper (more/less, depending on your tastes)
8-10 Biscuits (tube of ready to bake biscuits)
If you want to make your own homemade biscuits, here are the ingredients and instructions:
3 cups all purpose flour
2 Tablespoon granulated sugar
2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter, at room temperature (or shortening)
1 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup melted unsalted butter
